Words from Emily…
Do you ever feel like you’re drowning? Or maybe as though life is moving too fast? Are stress and uncertainty making it difficult to feel grounded in your daily life?
Life can become overwhelming when emotional pain, unresolved trauma, or constant stress take hold. It’s easy to feel disconnected—from others, from meaning in our lives, and from ourselves.
Therapy offers a space to slow down and listen deeply to what the mind and body are trying to communicate. I provide an integrative, evidenced-based, and individualized approach where it becomes possible for us to make sense of your experiences together, and begin the process of healing.
Above all, my approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. Although it may be challenging to find clarity or stability in your life right now, I value the expertise you bring to your own life experiences. My role is then to offer guidance as I walk alongside you on your journey.
I am fascinated by storytelling. My hope is that this space makes you feel empowered to write the story of your one brilliant life as the most authentic version of you.
I welcome you to reach out. We can get started with a phone consultation.

Emily is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, attachment wounds, and interpersonal issues. Her approach is integrative, with elements from attachment theory, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), person-centred therapy, and therapeutic arts. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University where she acquired extensive experience offering psychotherapy to a wide range of individuals.
Prior to this, she completed the Addictions and Mental Health graduate certificate program with honours at Humber College in Toronto, and the Certificate in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).
She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Cinema Studies and minors in Sociology and English from the University of Toronto. Emily is deeply compelled by the human experience and storytelling of all kinds, as reflected by her interdisciplinary background, including cinema studies.
Emily brings hands-on experience from her clinical placements providing psychotherapy at Saint Paul University’s Counselling Centre, and as a case manager with Cota Health’s Assertive Housing First Team in Toronto, where she provided mental health and addictions support to individuals facing complex challenges, including severe mental illness, substance use, and precarious housing.
She has also volunteered as a helpline responder with the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto, offering emotional assistance and crisis support. These experiences have helped her fine-tune her expertise in holding space for those in moments of deep suffering.
Emily is committed to anti-oppressive, harm-reduction approaches, and deeply values creating safe, collaborative therapeutic spaces where clients can truly feel seen and heard without judgment.
Outside (and sometimes inside!) the therapy room, I find inspiration in movies, TV, art, nature, music, and podcasts. One of my favourite activities is to walk and listen to something (whether it be an album or podcast episode).
I also enjoy gardening and feel it is good for the body, mind, and spirit, even if it’s just pulling up weeds.
It would be a pleasure to hold space for you as you turn the page, start a new chapter, and create a story that truly belongs to you. –
